Dividend Income Update September 2018

September went by incredibly fast. Two trips covering five different cities certainly made things feel hectic. I consider myself very lucky to have been spared by the tornados that hit Ottawa. They’re very rare and there was little warning. It really makes you appreciate how destructive and random these extreme weather events can be.

This month was the Niche Fund’s third highest month in terms of income since inception: $29.00! It was the highest non-December month which I thought was very encouraging. I receive a large mutual fund distribution in December so it skews the numbers significantly. The yoy growth was a solid 28.26%. With the September income added to the 2018 total, I’ve hit $209.42 for the year so far. This brings me to just over 85% of my 2017 total, and $662.95 since founding the Niche Fund in 2015.

Most of the holdings in my Niche Fund pay quarterly dividends so some months will have more income reflected than others. My Dividend Income page has a calendar showing when I expect to receive dividends from each of my stock holdings.
