While not a record breaking month, July turned out to be solid for the Niche Fund. There was also a nice healthy boost from one of my newest holdings, DIS.
There were a fair number of sectors in the red looking back 1 month at the S&P finviz map. Looks like there may be some potential opportunities in technology and materials.
There was a bit of a split between several of the indices I normally track. They’re all positive by the end of July, but some less flat: S&P 3.3%, NASDAQ 1.8%, TSX 0.2%.
My dividend total in July was $22.61, up 40.8% from the same month last year. This is not one of the bigger months in terms of income, so it is still great to see such positive momentum. After the July income is added to the 2018 total, I’m less than $20 away from beating my 2017 annual total!
July 2018 Dividends
KO: $4.63
ZFM: $0.25
DIS: $4.20
BNS: $6.56
CGX: $0.58
TD: $6.03
XSH: $0.36
July Total: $22.61
The top performer was one of my Canadian bank holdings:
BNS: $6.56
Most of the holdings in my Niche Fund pay quarterly dividends so some months will have more income reflected than others. My Dividend Income page has a calendar showing when I expect to receive dividends from each of my stock holdings.

Good job
40 percent increase is awesome. I would like to pick up some of the Canadian banks in the future
